8 Days ‘Til Halloween – Costume Time #TBT

The reason we don masks and costumes on Halloween when we leave our houses is so that

ghosts don’t mistake us for other ghosts.  Being today is throwback Thursday…I thought I would share with you 2 costumes I remember from my childhood. 

The 1st was a cape that went over your head with an inflatable head and the the 2nd was infamous boxed costume.

We are talking about Haunted Houses today in our Countdown to Halloween

There are approximately 1200 Haunted Houses & Facilities that spring up in the United States every fall facilitating a $300 – 500 Million industry.

Safety - Haunted Houses and attractions are EXTREMELY safe due to tough safety and fire codes they must all now live by. Most haunted houses inside a building are required to have a sprinkler system, early warning smoke or heat detectors which will alert the fire department, emergency lights, fire proofing of all materials inside the attractions, industrial electric applications, easy access doors throughout the attraction, panic hardware exit doors, multiple fire extinguishers, panic systems, and much more. Most haunts now must also be ADA compliant and have no trap doors or items on the floor that could cause trips and falls. Countdown to Halloween! 13 Days Out!

We decided to do a daily countdown to Halloween starting 13 days out!  Why 13?  Well 13 is a number long associated with Halloween for a few reasons

• It is the reverse of “31”
• “Friday the 13th” movies

Ok we could only find 2 reasons…if you have more then please be sure to leave us a comment and share as we would love to know.
